Amber Alert Suspect Arrested In Oklahoma, Missouri Highway Patrol Says

A woman who Missouri Highway Patrol prompted an Amber Alert after taking her two children was taken into custody.

The non-custodial parent, Hilda Melendez assaulted the person responsible for the two children and was believed to be traveling to Mexico, authorities said.

MHP said Melendez was arrested in Miami, Oklahoma.
