A federal judge blocked the execution of an Oklahoma man just hours before it was set to happen.
Daniel Lewis Lee was set to be the first federal inmate executed in 17 years. He was sentenced to death for his role in the murder of an Arkansas couple and their young daughter.
A judge ordered the delay of the execution on Monday, along with two others for this week, and said the inmates had not exhausted al their challenges to the government’s execution protocols.
