Meat processors in Oklahoma now have access to grant money through the Federal CARES Act.
The state is offering $10 million in grant money to help offset some of the struggles processors have had during the pandemic.
Agriculture Secretary Blayne Arthur said this sector of the agriculture community has had the hardest time recovering.
"The one area where we continue to see a lot of strain and we continue to see a lot of strain to this point is the processing sector. Here in Oklahoma, I believe we have the best producers here in the United States and certainly probably in the world,” said Arthur.
