Former OU Football Coach John Blake Dies At Age 59

Former OU football coach John Blake died Thursday at the age of 59.

Dean Blevins, sports director at CBS News 9 in OKC, said Blake had a heart attack while taking a walk.

Blake was OU's head football coach from 1996 to 1998 and was the first Black head coach at the University of Oklahoma.

He also was the defensive line coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2016.

Blake played at OU as a nose guard from 1979 to 1982.
