The Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors and Family and Children services helped Green Country students get ready to go back to school.

Volunteers handed on backpacks filled with first day essentials on Wednesday.

They said while the pandemic did force the event to be handled differently, it didn’t stop them from supporting students.

“We still want to make it special,” said organizer Shelley Carson. “We still want the kids to have a great start, you just kind of figure out how to learn and do things differently in this environment, and that’s what we did.”

This is the 15th year for the event, which benefits nearly 500 Green Country students from kindergarten to high school.
