Officials with The Tulsa State Fair announced on Tuesday, August 11th that the fair will be canceled because of concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Officials said this will impact the Midway portion of the fair. Other possible options are still being considered for the livestock and Made In Oklahoma portions of the fair.
County Officials said after working on modified plans and then talking and meeting with health officials, they decided the best way to keep people safe was to cancel the fair this year.
County Commissioner Karen Keith said they will be working on a modified plan to allow the youth livestock show, which is not open to the public.
