The mother of a three-month-old baby boy speaks out after Skiatook Police said a man sexually abused her son over the weekend.

She said she did not leave her baby with a stranger but with a family friend she had known for years, who never gave her any indication he could do something so heinous.

We are protecting her identity in order to protect her son.

This woman we are calling Danielle, said Matthew Parker was a long-time friend of Danielle's mother.

Danielle met him five years ago, after he was declared innocent by a judge and after spending 17 years in prison for molesting a seven-year-old girl.

"He told me certain things, factual things about how he was proven innocent, extremely convincing,” Danielle said. “I believed him. I believed mostly that the judge found him innocent, so I trusted that.”

She said Parker never gave her any reason to believe he was anything but a caring friend. She admits she had seen sex toys in his house previously.

"I try not to judge his lifestyle. I knew those things were there, but he kept them covered with a towel, they weren't exposed,” Danielle said.

She said she was at Parker's apartment Saturday and the baby was sleeping so she decided to go run a short errand. She said Parker called her and said the baby was waking and she immediately returned.

She said when Parker finally opened the door, he was in boxers and she had a terrible feeling. When she took off her son's diaper, she immediately knew something was wrong.

"I was taking him straight to the hospital,” Danielle said. “I didn't care what happened to me. I didn't care what anyone said about me. I wanted my baby to be okay, to be protected, to be safe.”

She said the hospital confirmed her son had been sexually abused. She said she could never fathom a human being could do something so heinous to a child.

"I am devastated,” Danielle said. “I'm numb at this point. I just want justice. I want him to be gone forever. My son is three months old; I just don't understand.”
