Sapulpa Public Schools reported on Monday that six students and one teacher have tested positive for COVID-19 since school started on August 24.
There are 65 students in quarantine due to exposure and nine teachers and teacher assistants in quarantine as well.
Sapulpa Public School district’s spokesperson Aaron McColloch said in a statement Tuesday that “Sapulpa Public Schools will continue to follow and evaluate the health and safety protocols of our Return to Learn plan, and we will continue to follow the recommendations of the CDC and local health officials. This is a good opportunity to remind everyone to observe social distancing of 6 feet, wear a mask, wash your hands, and stay home when you are sick. We would also like to encourage parents to review the Daily Health Assessment for their children before sending them to school each day to help prevent the possible exposure of staff and students. “
These are the numbers across the entire district since school started on August 24.
