The Oklahoma Department of Corrections announced that two more inmates have died after possible exposure to COVID-19.
The ODOC also announced that, starting Monday, they will release updated COVID-19 testing numbers the day the medical staff collects them.
ODOC said an inmate housed at Lexington Assessment and Reception center passed away at a hospital. The man had tested positive for COVID-19 in July, but cause of death has not yet been determined.
ODOC also said that an inmate at Joseph Harp Correctional Center passed away on September 3, and is now thought to be possibly related to COVID-19.
ODOC said with the recent increase in positive cases at many facilities, they believe it's necessary to publish information as quickly as possible.
