Man Leads Police On Chase In Stolen School Bus

A man is in custody accused of leading multiple law enforcement officers on a chase in a stolen school bus overnight.

A man is in custody accused of leading multiple law enforcement officers on a chase in a stolen school bus overnight.

Wagoner County deputies said the man is an assault suspect with a warrant out for his arrest.

The video shows the stolen Bragg activity bus speeding down the highway with a number of law-enforcement officers chasing after it with their lights and sirens on.

Officials said the chase lasted for about an hour and spanned several counties before ending outside of Coweta just before midnight.

Muskogee County deputies said they saw the man driving an ATV with a shotgun on Tuesday night, but he jumped off and got away.

Not long after, deputies said they got a report the man stole a Braggs activity bus.

Fort Gibson police spotted the bus and a chase began.

After about an hour pursuit that included five different agencies deputies said OHP troopers threw out stop sticks and while they busted almost all of the van's tires, deputies said it didn't stop the suspect.

According to the authorities he continued to drive for miles on the rims before giving up and stopping near 111th Street South and 289th East Avenue.
