Conflicting information is still coming from the White House against the CDC about masks and the arrival of a vaccine.
This week the center for disease control said they likely won’t have a coronavirus vaccine ready for the public until next summer however President Trump said that is not what he was told at all.
“I think he made a mistake when he said that it’s just incorrect information I called him and he didn’t tell me that," said President Trump.
CDC Director Redfield said in a statement that he did not misspeak on the vaccine completion date and stands by his estimate of a vaccine coming next year.
The controversy continues when it comes to Wearing a mask. The CDC has stood firmly by the idea that wearing a mask does help protect you from the virus, but it’s been pointed out that President Trump does not usually wear a mask and does not condone the use of them.
Redfield said in a statement that masks are still the best defense for staying safe during the pandemic.
