News On 6 is recognizing veterans who make a difference in their communities, such as Ernie Turnham.
Turnham served in the Army from 1964-1969 as a Sergeant. After leaving the Army, he drove semitrucks until he retired in 2007 and opened a pet store called “A Feathered Affair” in Muskogee. The store was a huge success and he ran it up until this year.
Despite experiencing tremendous loss in his life, we’re told he still smiles and is a warm and inviting person.
