Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, but it can be so easy to skip.
Well, we've got a simple but tasty recipe that you can try at home to make sure you get that morning boost.
Daisi Owens with My Stir Crazy Kitchen is back with her take on a bacon, gruyere and egg bite.
Ingredients
· 1/3 C. cottage cheese
· 2 T. half & half
· pinch Himalayan sea salt
· 6 eggs
· 1/2 C. Gruyere cheese
· 3-4 slices of bacon
· 1 T. unsalted butter melted
· cooking spray
Instructions
1.Preheat Sous Vide water to 185 degrees F.
2.Cook bacon and chop into pieces.
3.Blend the eggs, cottage cheese, half & half, salt, cheese & butter in a blender until smooth and fluffy.
4.Prep six 4oz. jars with cooking spray.
5.Pour egg mixture into jars. Adding a few pieces of bacon (or whatever topping you desire) into each.
6.Seal jars until finger-tight and cook in the sous vide water for 22 minutes.
7.Remove from the water and set on the counter until they seal.
8.Refrigerate for up to a week. Remove the lid and microwave for 45 seconds to reheat.
