Beggs Woman Dies In Overnight Accident

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a deadly accident in Okmulgee County early Sunday morning.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a deadly accident in Okmulgee County early Sunday morning.

The accident happened on Conifer Road approximately five miles north and two miles west of Henryetta just before 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

OHP said the driver of a 2011 Ford Escape, 26-year-old Kayla Dawson of Beggs, was pinned in the vehicle for an unknown amount of time. Dawson was pronounced dead at the scene by Okmulgee County EMS.

According to OHP, the vehicle's seat belt and air bag were equipped and in use at the time of the accident.
