The University of Baylor Athletics announced that they have paused all football-related activities due to COVID-19, a week before they are set to face the Cowboys.

Officials said this is a precautionary measure so the team can allow for further evaluation of recent positive COVID-19 cases. They also said that they wanted to ensure contract tracing has been thoroughly completed.

"At this time and in the interest of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff, we have temporarily suspended all football-related activities. Their health and wellness will always be our top priority," Baylor Director of Athletics Mack B. Rhoades said. "We are taking all possible precautions and our focus remains playing the scheduled game with Oklahoma State at McLane Stadium on October 17."

Baylor was set to face Oklahoma State University on October 17. As of now, that game is still on as scheduled.
