People in a midtown Tulsa neighborhood are glad that a man they said has been coming into their homes, stealing from them and trespassing on their property is in jail.

Neighbors said their doors are locked but they're sleeping peacefully after an entire neighborhood worked together.

Cheryl Sumners said she woke up Sunday night to her surveillance camera alarm going off. She pulled up the app on her phone and saw a man.

"My dogs started barking, and he hears my dogs, and walks back," Sumners said.

She said the man was looking into her bedroom windows and walking around her backyard. She immediately called 911 and posted the video on social media, only to find out she was not alone.

"It was 10:30 p.m. at my house. A lot of the videos on the app are at 1:30 a.m., 2:30 a.m., 3:30 a.m., 4:30 a.m.," Sumners said.

Video after video shows the same man looking for unlocked doors in her neighborhood. Sumners believes he stole jewelry from one neighbor and was doing drugs inside another home.

"The next afternoon one of my girlfriends sent me a text of the person who did this, asleep at Manion park," Sumners said.

Police arrested Christopher Fetter-Beeman Monday, accused of burglary. Records show he's been convicted several times for having meth, stealing property, and violating a protective order.

"Now I have this fear at night to walk out my door, in my own backyard, in my own neighborhood," Sumners said.

Sumners said it's a good reminder to always lock your doors, invest in surveillance video, and know your neighbors.

"It's a very sad situation for him and all the people he scared. This is your safe place, your home," Sumners said.

Fetter-Beeman's family said he struggles with mental health issues and they've tried repeatedly to get him help but with no luck.
