A Muskogee mother’s pain and grief are almost overwhelming as she seeks justice for her 19-year-old son who was shot and killed.

"I loved him with all my heart and soul," said Bradley Dillon's mother Brandy Wheeler.

Wheeler still does not want to believe her son Bradley is gone. She said he loved his family, loved being outdoors and joking around.

"I want justice for my son. I'll never be able to give him a hug again. I'll never give him a phone call again," Wheeler said.

Wheeler said she spoke to one of Bradley's friends who said Bradley snuck into a nearby casino and won some money. The friend said Bradley told a woman about the money and she asked Bradley to come to the area of 400 block of West Augusta. That's where Brandy was told her son was robbed and then shot several times.

"My son was shot, that I understand at least five times. Five times in the calf, and the leg, and the side," Wheeler said. "This tells me he was running. He was running for his life."

Kim Walkabout came to offer Brandy some support. Kim's son Danny Reed was Muskogee County's first homicide victim of the year.

"It's a feeling that unless you've been in our shoes, you just don't know. I want justice for my son. I just want justice for Brandy's son," Walkabout said. "It's pointless. They died for no reason."

Bradley is Cherokee so the case has been handed off to the FBI to investigate. Brandy is asking anyone with information to come forward.

"I'm going to be brave because that's how I'm going to survive - fighting for him," said Wheeler.

There is a Go Fund Me set up for the family to help pay for funeral expenses.

The City of Muskogee is organizing a prayer vigil for the community next Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Muskogee Civic Center.
