A Tulsa business owner is trying to find the person who drove into the side of his restaurant while it was closed and then left.

The driver was caught on camera as he smashed into Hero’s Subs and More, near Admiral and Sheridan. The restaurant owner Mike Asfour said he's offering a cash reward to anyone who comes forward and identifies the driver.

Asfour said when they saw the damage today, they were shocked. Surveillance video showed the moments right before a driver slammed into the side of Hero's Subs and More.

Video showed a man was standing in front of the restaurant for about 20 minutes. After he walked away, the driver of a car sped toward him from across the parking lot and smashed into the building. After a few seconds, the driver put it in reverse, backed out of the store, and drove away.

"I was in shock, I was surprised, I was like this is bad, bad news, you know," Asfour said.

Asfour said police called and told him about the damage. When he saw it in person, he couldn't believe someone would do this.

"It's annoying, now we're closed for business, this restaurant has been open for 36 years,” Asfour said.

Asfour said things have already been rough because of the pandemic, and now they're stuck with the bill for repairs. He said they're waiting to see how much it'll cost.

"We'll see what's going to happen, but this might take a while to fix," Asfour said.

Asfour said he has faith in the police and hopes they'll find the driver. He's offering $300 to anyone who can help police find the person who was driving.

"We just want these guys off the streets, because if they do it here, they'll do it somewhere else," Asfour said.
