Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Saturday.
1.RETURN PRESCRIPTION DRUGS: Saturday is Drug Take Back Day in Green Country. You can drop off unused or expired prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at several Reasor’s locations, the Sand Springs Police Department and more. You can find the full list here.
2.DUMP UNWANTED ITEMS: If you live in Broken Arrow, you can get rid of unwanted items at the Waste Management quarry landfill. Free Dump Day is from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. You do need a driver’s license or utility bill that shows you live in the city.
3.LITERATURE COME TO LIFE: Free tickets are still available for the Tulsa Pop Kids Live literacy drive thru at 9 a.m. You can drive thru literary tales with live characters and life-size props including Jurassic park, Harry Potter, the Avengers, Legoland and more.
4.FRESH FOOD: The Tulsa Farmers’ Market ad Admiral and Lewis is open from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. with Oklahoma grown produce, meats, dairy, honey, coffee, wine, beer and more Saturday.
5.HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES: The Hornsby’s Halloween Boo-Tacular is now free at OneOK Field. There will be trick-or-treating stops from local shops, costume contests and game four of the World Series playing on the videoboard. Gates and concessions open at 6 p.m.
6.OKTOBERFEST IN DOWNTOWN: If you didn’t make it Friday night, Welltown Oktoberfest continues Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight. The outdoor event features beer from local breweries, live music, axe throwing and more.
