Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Wednesday.
1.CITY UPDATE: Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum will give an update on the first quarter of the fiscal year, in terms of the budget and current economic conditions. The City Council’s teleconference meeting starts at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
2.POLICE PERSPECTIVE: Tulsa Police will host its first-ever Use of Force Media Day. A News On 6 reporter will try a new simulator that allows you to participate in interactive scenarios that are similar to what officers face every day. That is at 10 a.m. and News on 6 will follow the story on Wednesday.
3.CAST YOUR VOTE: Election day is one week away so make sure your vote counts. Chad Wolf, the acting Secretary of Homeland Security, will be on CBS This Morning Wednesday.
4.KEEPING POLLS CLEAN: Anheuser-Bush is donating more than 61,000 ounces of hand sanitizer to polling places in Oklahoma for election day. There is a presentation at 2:30 p.m. at the state capitol.
5.TAKE TO THE SKY: Spartan College is getting a fleet of 32 new planes for training. That will be at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
6.FOOD GIVEAWAY: There is a drive-thru grocery giveaway at Turley Assembly of God. Food on the Move is hosting the event from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
