A lot of work goes into making sure every votes gets counted and in Tulsa County, workers have been counting for hours.

They finished the absentee ballot count right at 7 pm and immediately switched into the massive effort of receiving the ballots from the precincts where people voted on Tuesday. The first precinct level results came in right at 7:30; the machines are driven to the board office downtown, where the machines and ballots are unloaded. The machines are opened up the data from those machines pulled out, with check after check for security then those votes are pulled into the states computer where those results show up immediately.

The physical ballots then go into secure storage in case they're needed as a backup.
