Tulsa Detectives Searching For Suspect After Deadly Apartment Shooting

Tulsa Police are searching for a suspect who they said shot and killed a man at an apartment complex Thursday afternoon.

Police said the suspect shot and killed 28-year-old Jeremiah Goleman at the Meadowbrook Apartment Complex near Admiral and Mingo.

Officers said they are still working to figure out what led to the shooting.

"He's an armed person who just murdered somebody so that's always a concern for us, it's a concern for the public," Tulsa Police Sergeant Joel Ward said. "We don't know what the cause of the shooting was, but there's evidence it was pretty violent."

TPD said someone called 911 around 2:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon to say they heard gunshots and that a car had crashed into an apartment. When officers arrived, they found Goleman dead on a second story balcony and a car sitting in the grass.

"It appears the car, they were inside the car and the car ran into the building, and after it ran into the building at least one shot was fired," Ward said.

Ward said the suspect then ran off and Goleman ran to nearby apartments for help, but he died on a second story balcony.

"There's a blood trail from where he left the car, ran to a nearby apartment, knocked on the door, nobody opened it, he ran to another apartment door and died," Ward said.

Detectives are now searching for the suspect. Ward said they are talking to witnesses and looking at surveillance video from the apartment complex.

Police said they are unsure if the two live at the apartment complex or what led them to the apartments.
