A new committee has been formed at Oklahoma State University to begin the search for a new university president.
The new search committee will conduct a national search for a successor to President Burns Hargis.
Hargis plans on retiring in July of 2021 after serving as president for 13 years.

The committee's first task is to develop a position profile and outline the qualities and characteristics sought in the next president. The goal of the committee is to have a new president named before the end of the current academic year.
