One person has died and two firefighters have been hospitalized after a deadly explosion at a home in Owasso.
The Owasso Fire Department said they responded to a house fire just after 6 p.m. Thursday to a home near 76th Street north and Highway 169.
Neighbors said they heard the loud boom from that explosion, and they said they're still in shock.
Firefighters said two people were inside and a few firefighters were trying to get them out of the house when an explosion happened.
One of the two people inside the home died, while the other person survived.
The fire department said two firefighters were hurt in the explosion, and they were sent to a Tulsa hospital.
News On 6 was told the surviving victim was an elderly woman, and we spoke with a neighbor, who said the community will help her get through this.
Debra Hink said "we all want to come home safe and healthy and anything that we can do to help her, we'll be here for her."
We'll keep you posted as investigators work to figure out what happened.
