Here’s a look at six things to know before you set your alarm for Saturday.
.FEED THOSE IN NEED: John 3:16 Mission still needs 800 turkeys and nonperishable food items to serve a holiday meal to those in need. There are two donation drives Saturday at the Walmart in Owasso and the Walmart on South Elm Street in Broken Arrow.
.RACE – BUT DISTANT: The Tulsa Route 66 Marathon looks a lot different this year. Runners will still lace up starting Saturday but without the usually blocked streets lined with fans. Participants have until December 1 to complete the virtual race.
.A HEADS UP: Arvest Winterfest in downtown Tulsa will not open Saturday. It will now kick off the season on Monday, November 30. If you have a ticket from now until then, you can get a refund.
.GIFTS FROM THE HEART: Find something you love or something someone else will love. An Affair of the Heart continues this weekend. You can shop for gifts or yourself Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Tulsa’s Expo Square.
.LAUNCH TO THE OCEAN: The latest in a series of spacecraft designed to monitor our oceans is scheduled to launch Saturday. It’s the Sentinel 6 satellite. That is at 1:17 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
.BEDLAM BUZZ: The big talk of Saturday: Bedlam has arrived. You can watch the rivalry game at OneOK field. Stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m. and kickoff is at 6:30 p.m.
