Tulsa city leaders are scheduled to meet this week to discuss amending some COVID-19 related ordinances.

Some of the changes that are expected to be made could impact event sizes or add penalties for failing to follow the city's mask mandate.

On Thursday, Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum said that the changes that Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt had put in place, should speak for the level of severity across the state.

According to Bynum, he said that he hopes Tulsans will understand the importance of watching their distance in addition to wearing a face mask.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at 5:30 on Tuesday.
