Tulsa County deputies are investigating the shooting of a mother and daughter that happened Tuesday afternoon in Turley.
They said the mother was shot in the back and seriously injured and the daughter was shot in the leg and is going to be OK. Tulsa County deputies have taken two people in for questioning, but haven't made an arrest yet.
Deputies said a mother, her 15-year-old daughter and a man were riding four-wheelers when they saw three teenagers on a blue ATV. They said the mother and her friend thought it was an ATV that had been stolen from them and when they confronted the teenagers, shots were fired.
It happened on the bike trail along Madison near 56th Street North and Peoria. Deputies said the three suspects left on the blue ATV.
"They were going down the trail and they were confronted by the group that they thought had possibly stolen the ATV and that group opened fire on them," Casey Roebuck with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said.
