Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Wednesday.
1.MEET YOUR NEW COUNCILORS: The Tulsa City Council meets Wednesday. It’s being held in-person, but you can watch online. It’s the first meeting for the new councilors who were sworn in Monday.
2.COVID-19 IN TULSA: We’ll get an update on COVID-19 in Tulsa County. Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum, the Tulsa Health Department and hospital officials will host a virtual news conference at noon. It will be streamed live on the City of Tulsa’s Facebook page.
3.GROCERY GIVEAWAY: There’s a drive-thru grocery giveaway Wednesday at Turley Church of God from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Volunteers in masks and gloves will load fresh produce for a week and a prepared meal for five people right into your trunk.
4.ART ADVENTURES: If your kids are in distance learning or homeschooled, it’s family day at Ahha Tulsa. The art adventures are perfect for kids ages 3-13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
5.TOP PROFESSOR: Yale High School is welcoming the top mathematics professor at Yale University. The Q&A session with students is via Zoom.
