Local businesses have stepped up to help provide gifts for children who were not adopted from the Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program.

Tulsa's Williams Energy Company dropped off more than 400 toys on Wednesday.

Katy Rich from Williams Energy said, "My co-worker years ago had one of her kids ask about what happens to the kids on the angel tree that aren't selected and that really got her thinking about how to, you know, help provide for those children and make sure that they aren't left without a toy on Christmas morning."

Officials from the Salvation Army said the drop-offs for new, unwrapped toys are still being accepted at the Joy Center location.

All donations will be distributed next week.
