Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Friday.

.STIMULUS IMPACT: We’ll hear from State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister Friday about how the stimulus package will impact tribal and higher education. We’ll have that report on News on 6.

.FOOD PICKUP: There’s a drive-thru food giveaway Friday at First Baptist Church North Tulsa across from Carver Middle School. From free casseroles to dry goods and fresh produce, you can swing by from 4:30 p.m. until food runs out.

.GOING, GOING, GONE: The Broken Arrow surplus auction goes live at 3 p.m. Friday. If you’re interested, you have 10 days to bid on cars, office furniture, cameras, computers and more.

.ART CRAWL: It’s Second Friday Art Crawl in the arts district. The downtown Tulsa event didn’t happen last week because first Friday fell on New Year’s Day.

.NEW MAN IN CHARGE: Broken Arrow High School will announce their new head football coach Friday. That’s set for 2 p.m.

.AT THE RINK: The Oilers are back in action at home. They take on Utah at 7:05 p.m., and it’s ladies night at the BOK.
