Redevelopment Project At I-44 & Highway 75 Begins Monday

The first part of a five-part improvement project at I-44 and Highway 75 begins on Monday.

This phase includes widening I-44 to six lanes between the river and Union Avenue, replacing multiple bridges and replacing all four cloveleaf ramps.

Both highways will remain open during work, but lanes will often be narrowed or closed.

This first phase should be finished in early 2023.
