Veteran Salute: Ron Shear

News On 6 is continuing to recognize veterans across Green Country who are making a difference in their communities.

Today, we are recognizing Ron Shear.

Ron served in the Vietnam War and then went to Germany.

When he returned to the U.S., he worked at the Claremore VA for 27 years.

Now, he puts white crosses and flags on more than 200 veteran graves, which is something he use to do with his father who was also a veteran.
