78-Year-Old Pedestrian Critical After Being Hit By Car

Tulsa Police said that a 78-year-old woman is in critical condition after being hit by a car Friday night.

Police said the woman walked into traffic near 31st Street and Memorial around 7:30 p.m.

Police said the driver told them the victim ran out into the street in front of her and said she couldn’t avoid the collision. Police said the area was poorly lit and the woman was not crossing at a crosswalk or traffic signal.

The victim was transported to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
