Former Oologah Coach Indicted On Charges Linked To Sexual Misconduct Allegations

A former girls’ basketball coach at Oologah-Talala High Schools was indicted on misdemeanor charges linked to accusations of sexual misconduct.

A multi-county grand jury indicted 30-year-old Trent Winters with six counts of “uttering obscene language in public.”

Court documents accused Winters of making sexual remarks to several female students and also touching one of the girls inappropriately.

In June, the State board of Education put the district on probation after five teachers, including Winters, lost or gave up their certificates over sexual misconduct allegations.
