First responders and emergency crews are seeing significantly less wrecks and calls come Tuesday afternoon than they did Monday.

However, some Tulsa body shops are staying busy from Monday's wrecks.

As of Tuesday, the ice on major roads and bridges is mostly melted, and the hundreds of wrecks are cleaned up. However, for AAA Body and Frame, their work is piling up.

"In my office, the phone has been ringing off the hook," Kerri Taylor told News On 6. Kerri and her husband Jeremy Taylor run the shop, which has been in their family for over six decades. Therefore, they know when there is ice -- there is usually a lot of car repairs that come in.

"When we heard the weather we were like 'oh boy this is gonna be fun,'" Jeremy laughed. "We make sure to leave extra early because we know we'll be busy. Customers are looking for somebody who’s friendly he’s going to help them," Kerri added.

They have already started getting cars that were in wrecks yesterday. Jeremy showed me a car that had a wheel damaged from hitting a guardrail. He says the driver is looking at $1,100 to $1,500 worth of damages.

For insurance companies like AAA on Monday, they had to respond to over 1,000 calls. Come Tuesday, crews have responded to less than 100 calls -- mostly for stalled vehicles and dead batteries. However Mark Madeja, spokesperson for AAA, says even though today was not as icy--they are gearing up for more waves of winter weather later in the week.

"Tomorrow, again it’s gonna be another bad and cold weather day. "We have all of our contractors on notice, all of our people in house on standby-- we are ready for these types of conditions," Madeja told News On 6.
