Bill Protecting Drivers During Riots Moves Forward To State Senate

A bill that protects drivers who feel threatened during riots is moving forward to the full state senate.

State Senator Nathan Dahm of Broken Arrow said the bill would protect anyone who tries to escape from a crowd that is illegally blocking a road or surrounding their vehicle.

Senate bill 560 was filed in response to riots last year where protestors crowded some city streets and blocked I-244.
