If you are trying to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment in Oklahoma, you will have to wait until Friday. The State Department of Health announced on Facebook that because of the weather they will not post new appointments Thursday.
In Tulsa County, the health department announced Wednesday night that they would also not be adding new appointments on Thursday. Their decision came down to the current weather and the potential for severe weather early next week.
Right now, the Tulsa Health Department is looking at options for scheduling new appointments. They said they will provide updates on their Facebook page and website. When they do add new appointments, THD said they will make sure they have open time slots for people who had to reschedule because of the weather. In the meantime, they say if you were supposed to get your second COVID-19 vaccine dose Wednesday, February 10, they will send an email with rescheduling information. You should get that by 5 p.m. Thursday.
THD said all COVID-19 vaccine appointments for Thursday will be canceled due to severe winter weather.
