The horrific tragedies of two murder-suicides and a murder that killed six people, including five kids, have rocked Green Country communities in the past two weeks.

Domestic Violence Intervention Services (DVIS) said the pandemic has greatly increased domestic violence calls, with many people being trapped with their abusers.

They want people to know help is out there and that they offer transitional living spaces, family therapy and can even help you navigate the court system. They also offer safe ways for victims to escape.

“We at DVIS take these tragedies hard in terms of its impact on us, as the community does, we work every day to prevent that,” CEO of DVIS Tracey Lyall said.

To reach DVIS, call the 24/7 crisis line at 918-743-5763 or text “SAFE” to 207-777.
