A downtown Tulsa bar dealing with major water damage due to a busted water pipe.
The owner of The Hunt Club in Downtown Tulsa said they are having to replace the entire ceiling.
"It was a huge mess, major, major water damage; they are tearing the ceiling out right now," owner Mary Ellen Slape said.
Slape said they were open when the water came flowing through the ceiling after a pipe burst in an apartment above the bar.
"On the third floor; so, it went from the third floor, to the second floor, and then gradually got to the first floor," she said.
Slape said since the snow had passed and temperatures were slowly rising, she didn't think this would happen. She said she has already seen an outpouring of love from the community.
"Most of my staff was here, friends showed up, so we have a lot of help, and a lot of support," she said.
Slape said the past year has been rough with the pandemic, and this is now another hurdle they must go through. She said they are keeping a positive outlook, and hope to be open by the end of next week.
"One more thing. It's like 2020 it's not over yet, but again we'll get through it, for sure," she said.
Slape said the best thing people can do is stop in and visit when they reopen.
