Overnight Fire Damages Sapulpa Cafe

A fire cause significant damage to the Patriot Cafe in Sapulpa.

The owner of the cafe said the fire started in the restaurant sometime overnight.

Someone delivering food overnight saw smoke and called the fire department.

Lance Hoskins with Hurricane Restoration said the owner wants to reopen as soon as possible.

"Let's get it going; let's get you back up and running, and let's get Patriot back on the market, and get you going again, and that's his goal. [The owner] wants to be back up and running. His first question was 'How long til I'm back open?,'" Hoskins said.

Fire crews said the fire started in the kitchen and smothered itself before it could damage the outside of the building.
