Tulsa Police said they are looking for a man who led them on a pursuit before crashing his truck into a creek. Police said the chase started around 12:30 a.m. Friday morning when the driver refused to pull over for a traffic violation near 7th and Sheridan.

Police said the driver reached speeds of nearly 65 miles per hour in neighborhoods and eventually ended up near 15th and Memorial. Officers said the driver got caught in a dead-end near Mingo and cut through a patch of grass.

Tulsa police said the driver then tried to cross Mingo Creek but got stuck in the bank. They said he then took off from the scene.

Police set up a perimeter to find the man but he got away. The truck was towed and impounded.

Police said the registered owner of the truck had warrants. They believe the registered owner was the man behind the wheel.
