Man Allegedly Attempts To Burglarize Home With Residents Inside

Tulsa police arrested a man suspected of burglarizing a home while the residents were inside.

The attempted burglary happened Sunday morning near East 101st Street and Memorial.

According to police, one of the victims awoke to his mother-in-law screaming. When the victim opened his bedroom door, he confronted the suspect identified as Nikolas Benitez.

Authorities said the victim grabbed Benitez by the back of the neck and forced out of the house.

Officers later found Benitez and arrested him. He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of first-degree burglary and marijuana possession.
