Construction Underway On $2 Million Project On 71st Street In Tulsa

Construction is underway on 71st Street between Mingo and Memorial.

The more than $2 million project is affecting traffic on one the busiest streets in Tulsa.

Work is starting at 71st and Mingo and will move west as the project continues.

Lane closures will vary as needed, but at least one lane will always be open in each direction during the project. Left turn lanes may be limited or restricted.

Folks can still get to business in the area, those access point will be marked with blue signs. The city encourages people not to avoid construction, but to still visit the businesses in this area.

Construction will stop for the holiday shopping season during November and December. It will resume in January and is expected to be all done in the spring of 2022.
