Two people are in the hospital on Monday morning after police say they ran off the road, struck a concrete bridge and then flipped their truck.

The westbound lanes of Highway 412 near 41st West Avenue are back open after being closed for several hours during that crash investigation.

Tulsa police say around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night a man and a woman were driving their truck east on Highway 412 when they lost control going around a curve, ran into the grass median and hit the concrete, which launched their truck into the air, causing it to hit the concrete bridge column and land upside down in the westbound lanes.

Both people in the truck were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. Police say the woman’s injuries are serious, but she is doing better.

TPD told News On 6 that officers closed all westbound lanes until about 2:30 a.m., but have since reopened after the scene was cleaned up. Police say no other cars were involved but there were witnesses that stayed to tell police what they saw happen.

Police say there were no other cars involved in this accident.

This was one of two separate accidents on Highway 412 overnight Sunday into Monday. There was also a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in Sand Springs.
