Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum is scheduled to give an update on the city’s ransomware attack on Thursday. The Tulsa Police Department said the cyberattack is causing lingering issues.
Tulsa Police said some officers are not wearing body cameras or using cameras in patrol cars because the online system that stores and processes data is temporarily down following the attack. The city’s information technology team has also discovered the police department’s online records management data is down.

The city said getting both of these areas restored is a top priority. Officials were first made aware of he ransomware attack on May 8th.

The city has not announced when services will be fully restored. Mayor Bynum's update is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Thursday.
