1 Dead, 1 In Injured After Shooting, Car Crash In Tulsa

A person is dead and another is in serious condition after a shooting and car crash near Pine and MLK Boulevard, according to Tulsa Police.

Officers say the call came in just after midnight from someone in the area who heard gunshots. Witnesses told Tulsa Police that people in two different cars were shooting at each other and the driver of one of the cars eventually crashed into a utility pole.

TPD says when they got on the scene only the car that crashed was there. Homicide Investigators are still trying to determine what happened but say one of the people inside the car died and the other is in the hospital with serious injuries.

"We have evidence that there was a gun battle involved, we have shell casings stretching a couple of blocks down the road," said TPD Sgt. Ashley Kite.

Parts of the intersection were closed for hours as police investigated but traffic has since returned to normal. Anyone with information about this shooting can call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS, you can remain anonymous.
