Family and friends are sharing memories of a man gunned down this weekend and left for dead in a busy street near 31st and Harvard.

The victim was a dad, brother, and friend and police are still searching for his killer. Friends say KeAndre Mincy was the kind of guy who had a contagious smile and could make friends with anyone. They are all in shock that his life ended so soon.

Friends and family say the first thing you noticed about KeAndre Mincy, who they all called Keke, was that smile.

"Contagious smile, it lights up the room as he walks in," said Winston Rothstein. "I look at pictures now, and smile and cry."

Winston Rothstein met KeAndre in middle school and said the friendship was instant.

"We never lost contact, we've always been in touch."

Winston said KeAndre was always cracking jokes, and had a heart of gold, and was there for anybody. Winston thinks about their memories like playing basketball together and making fun of each other.

"You never find someone more loyal than Keke," Rothstein said. "He had your back no matter what was happening."

Micah Westbrook said the same thing about KeAndre. She knew him in high school and has a picture at their 8th-grade dance.

"He was a class clown always funny," Westbrook said. "If you were having a bad day, he could make you feel better."

Tulsa police found KeAndre's body over the weekend near 31st and Harvard. They say someone drove up, shot him several times, and took off.

KeAndre had a young son and his family said KeAndre was the brightest spot in everybody's life, and this is senseless. They said KeAndre had some bad times but had been working hard to get his life together and things were going so well.

"It's in shock immediately," Rothstein said. "I cried 12 times today just going down the road."

KeAndre's killer is still on the run. If you have any information, you're urged to call Crimestoppers at 918-596-COPS.
