A group of bikers and Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office staff are rallying around three young brothers who suffer from serious medical conditions.
An annual poker run has turned into a lot more than just an auction. It’s the starting point of an inseparable bond between families.
Nine-year-old Kendrick and five-year-old Noah Bowman were diagnosed with HLH, a rare and life-threatening immune condition. Both brothers have been fighting a number of related medical conditions for two years.
Their seven-year-old brother Jonah is also fighting an unknown immune disease.
Noah and Kendrick have both undergone bone-marrow transplants but had to go out of state for treatment.
During treatment and recovery, the family had to uproot their lives and move to Cincinnati, Ohio for six months each transplant.
Dozens of items are up for auction this Saturday at the Iron Pigs and Tulsa County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #188 Poker Run, also supported by Hearts on Duty. There will also be an option for online auctioning.
