Teacher Of The Day: Jacqui Walker

Monday's teacher of the day is Jacqui Walker, a seventh-grade math and science at Thoreau Demonstration Academy.

The person who nominated her said, "she has 14-years of experience as an educator, eight of them with Tulsa Public Schools."

Her nominator said, "Jacqui started as a teacher's assistant in 2006 and became a certified teacher after graduating from Northeastern State University. Her mission is to teach a love for math and to teach students that math can be fun."

Her nominator also told News On 6 that she is a finalist for TPS Teacher of the Year.
