Teacher Of The Day: Melissa Cox

Thursday's teacher of the day is Melissa Cox, a Special Education teacher for grades four through six at Coweta Public Schools.

The person who nominated her said she is an excellent teacher and an even bigger advocate for her students.

Melissa also taught previously at Union Public Schools where she helped organize a group for a talent show. Students sang "this is me" from the movie "the greatest showman".

Her nominator told News On 6, "She truly does go above and beyond and pours her heart into each student. Thank you Melissa for all that you do!"
